I need help!! What are you supposed to look like pregnant????

Ok, this might seem like a dumb question, but I am having a hard time figuring out how I am supposed to look in clothes!!!

I am a few days shy of 12 weeks, definately showing, put on some weight and now I not sure how clothes are supposed to fit me.!!!

I spent the whole day shopping and some maternity clothes make me look so frumpy, and then the leaner ones, make me look like I gained weight, not necessary pregant looking and then regular clothes I need Larges (when i am used to buying smalls) and they just dont fit right in the right places!!! So they are not working either.

Did everyone else have a hard time in the beginning???

i'm in the same situation. as shirts and dresses go, i'm trying to get ones that fit around the boobs but bunch a tiny bit in the front. that way it accommodates my tummy but still looks good and kinda like regular clothing.

sorta like this (but not as low cut, etc):




try to avoid anything that bunches on the sides cuz that'll make you look frumpy without a full baby belly. just right in the very front (like right between your boobs).

even at 27 wks I am having a hard time..I posted a few times that I had gotten Michael Stars 3/4 sleeved maternity shirts from nordstom and LOVED them..also the site babiesnbellies.com has cute stuff that shows off your body and doesn't make you look frumpy. It's hard because alot of the stuff out there that is cheap is really crappy..I got a few REALLY nice pieces and love them

I ended up getting a few things from Gap maternity in roosevelt field and they have some really cute stuff. Most of the stuff they have is on sale too which is great. They don't have a huge room but they have a lot of the same things the regular gap has but in maternity.
