I need advice....should I be concerned???
So I went to the OB today and overall at 21 weeks I have only gained 4 pounds. I feel like I have gained a hundred. The OB seemed a little concerned that I hadn't gained more. But said they will address it at my next appointment. I eat three (healthy) meals a day, and three snacks. I really am at a loss because I feel so full all the time from all I eat. Should I be doing anything more??? Any advice is welcome thanks you beautiful ladies.

If I only gained 4 pounds I would be rejoicing! Is the baby measuring on target? If so, I wouldn't worry.

I was only up about 1 lb at that point and my OB was not at all concerned b/c baby looked fine. I am up about 10 lbs now, and I am 33 weeks.

I don't know why he would be concerned then. Are you extremely underweight? Otherwise, I wouldn't worry.

I've had weight issues since I was a child. They were always trying to give us food to fatten us up because we looked like starving children. DH had the same thing when he was a kid. When I was pregnant with DS they were concerned that he had such a small waist. But he is fine still has a small waist.

Re: I need advice....should I be concerned???
hmmm...every pregnancy and every woman is different. My first few months I hardly gained anything...Now at 26 weeks I have gained a total of about 15 pounds. If you are concerned try adding some more healthy fats to your diet like avacados, nuts, and even olives. I am sure if your doc was really worried they would put you on some sort of diet plan. Good luck!
ETA: Just lookd at your pics and you look amazingly healthy! I wouldn't worry.

Sounds like it is just your build! I wouldn't worry as long as you are eating!

Re: I need advice....should I be concerned???
I puked my whole pregnancy and at 20wks was down 15lbs from my prepregnancy weight. I was told as long as baby is good that was all that mattered. I would ask for a growth sono or they can do it at the level 2. If baby's ok don't fret and keep up the good eating habbits!

Re: I need advice....should I be concerned???
I think it's all relative so its hard to ask should i be concerned about not gaining weight - I would say - if your OB is concerned you probably should be - if he is not, then I wouldn't be. I think he knows your situation best

Re: I need advice....should I be concerned???
When I was pregnant with my son I only gained 2.5 lbs, and I had a very lovely, very healthy 7 lb 14 oz baby!
With this pregnancy, I am pretty much at the same kind of place, I don't have a huge appetite and we are all growing fine!!!
Don't worry, everyone is different!!
