Sorry for your loss! Is it for an adult or a child? Mary Gravina has a private practice in the same building as my practice. She specializes in bereavement, I believe with children but possibly adults too. I have her number at my office, I will send it later for you.

This is random but maybe the vet would have a rec? Or an animal advocacy group like ASPCA. Years ago when I was living in the city, I applied for a social worker position within the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan, so I am sure this specialty exists.
