I need a new daycare. any recs would be great.
Ds just started dc for 2 days a week in Aug. He is finally adjusted. Dh hates the dc he is in because he is always sick. *I* know this is just a dc thing. Kids get sick. Dh wants him out of there. So, now I need a new place. We are in Lake Ronkonkoma his school now is in Nesconcet so im willing to drive within reason. Any info recs would be groovy.

I use Tutor Time in Holbrok and LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about them. The center, the teachers, the staff- all great. My DD is an infant though- so I only have experience with the infant room- but the center itself- and EVERYONE I have dealt with there- right up to the director- has been great!

I'm sorry he is getting sick
I have to say though, I think it will happen again no matter where you move him to so if you are happy with the day care/school otherwise I would try to make DH see the light.
Whenever a kid starts "school" they generally get every germ. The good news is, that he'll get through them pretty fast and then be more resistant. That bad news is that until then, he'll get sick a lot.

Oh I totally agree. I happen to love the school and his teacher is awesome with ds. I watch from home and she is always great with him. Dh works with someone who has a dc there too and is having a bad experience. So he has him panties all in a bunch now.
Also ds finally didnt cry when i dropped himnoff last week. So he is used to it too. I will see a few other spots just to keep the peace, but happy wife happy life.

Re: I need a new daycare. any recs would be great.
I use to be a licensed provider and I was very particular about cleaning, sterilizing, and was after the kids to wash their hands constantly. I never allowed sick children to attend care, however you just can't help or control kids get sick in daycare especially the first year after they start. If your child is well adjusted and you like the care he is getting I would seriously consider staying where he is, because he will definitly get sick somewhere else.
As for a recommendation if you are willing to do home daycare called Suffolk County Child Care Council for some recommendations.
