I Love LOWES !!!

DH and I went today; He had to check on something for a customer, who wants him to install a kitchen island that seats six. So while he was chatting, I went to look at stainlesss steel appliances; Our house was built in 1985, so one by one our appliances have needed replacing. Next on the list will be our microwave!!! Initially, I thought I could never have as nice a microwave, as the one I have now; It has no turntable, just a flat floor, and I can get all types of dishes to fit into it. However, Donna showed me her new, over the range microwave, and how the turntable can be recessed for certain size dishes, so I think I can live with that. In checking appliance stores, I don't think flat floor microwaves exist anymore. Then, we looked at new floor covering options for our LR/Kitchen. We have carpet in every room, except kitchen/bath. I want to replace the carpet, with hardwood/laminate wood, to cut down on my allergies. When we built our house, the Co. who laid the individual tiles in the kitchen, assured me that there would be no separations between them, and that didn't happen!!! Over the years, the kitchen floor looks awful!!! DH wants a "stone look" vinyl, but I don't like some of the patterns, with little nooks/crannies, that dirt can get into. I did see some smooth vinyl patterns, but nothing that knocked my socks off. I do have a question. Where did you put your stuff, while remodeling? Mary

Home Depot carries a brand called traffic master self stick tiles, they look like stone but no grooves. They also make laminate now that looks like stone.

I checked out HD and Lowes for most of our house renovations.
