Re: i know this has been addressed before

no, but i wish there was one... it's so annoying. i am actually kind of afraid of dogs and i hate it when i'm just trying to get things done and BAM! there's a dog sniffing me in the grocery store.

I find people that bring dogs (not service dogs) into stores, restaurants are extremely rude. leave the dog at home. many people are allergic, there are young children around and some people are acutally afraid of dogs....

if you can't go anywhere without your dog, you shouldn't have gotten one. a dog is NOT a baby. they can be left alone.

Re: i know this has been addressed before

i only ask because i saw a woman friday night walk into a king kullen with a small dog in a pink stroller. the dog was in a carrier that was closed.

i am not judging here at all (although i do have an opinion or two on the subject Chat Icon ) b/c at this time i just wanted to know if anyone here knew of any laws in place that banned dogs from places like this.

I thought most places had signs that say service dogs only.

In that case it may not be "law" but they are breaking the "rules".

I love dogs, but I think there should be a law. What if the dog peed or pooped as you were trying to eat a meal? Yes, I know people train their dogs, but accidents happen, especially in a setting like a restaurant that might be new and stressful for the dog.

Well, I've taken my Yorkie into Target. He's 8 lbs and hypo-allergenic (yeah, I know some people will still say they are allergic), and I've gotten nothing but positive responses. He's so little and cute and I carry him...he's not going to pee or poop anywhere.

Re: i know this has been addressed before

It is a health code violation, but unless the store posts a sign most people bring their dogs in anyway.

I have noticed that the Stop and Shop and Pathmark by me both have HUGE signs as you walk in saying "No pets allowed" so someone must be complaining.
