I just started Karate and Self Defense
Last night were my first classes (I took 2 hour-long classes back-to-back) and I am sore today...
I think it was a really good workout. They say you can burn around 700 calories in each class.
I will be going twice a week (2 hours each time). I spoke with some girls who lost 30 lbs in 6 months, so it gave me some encouragement!

I LOVE Karate! I took it for a few years and had gotten pretty good. But then all the good people in my dojo started leaving for one reason or another, and I was stuck with a bunch of teenage boys. I finally quit because it just wasn't fun anymore.
It's so hard to find a good karate school for adults!
But it IS definitely a good workout. Have fun!!!
