I just saw Dreamgirls for the first time
Did anyone else cry? Its so sad what really happened to Florence Ballard.
And OMG! Jennifer Hudson is amazing!! She SO deserved the Oscar.
And I love my DH! He says, Beyonce doesn't look so good without all the makeup.

it was a good movie--really loved jennifer hudson's performance. i'm still partial to the broadway cast---but they did a good job for the movie

I actually saw the original B-way cast with Jennifer Holiday and Sheryl Lee Ralph. Both productions were wonderful.

Love it.... The soundtrack is even better! I truly think Eddie Murphy should have won the Oscar for the role (Damn Norbit messed up his chance)

No - I'm with you
And I love anything musical - but this one just annoyed me. I'm not a huge fan of Beyonce b/c she's just so overexposed - but I don't mind her -
I think Jennifer Hudson has an unbelievable voice, but I can not stand to listen to her speak or look at her face - her mannerisms........just everything about her is so obnoxious -
I do have the soundrack though - b/c like I said, the chick can sing !!
