I just need to vent!
I am so bummed and stressed.
My dh works crazy hours..he leaves the house at around 2 in the afternoon and doesnt walk back in the door again until almost 3 in the morning. He has to sleep in because he its the only chance he gets to sleep which means I am up with the baby every time she gets up, resulting in me sleeping about 4 hours a night.
We cant do anything during the week because its all about him getting ready for work and as soon as we know it, he has to leave. On the weekends, we only have saturday to go somewhere because sunday is laundry and shopping day. Its like we have NO down time, no fun time, he has no time to spend with the baby.
Now this weekend, we were supposed to go to pa tomorrow and hes sick! I feel bad hes sick but I cant lie, I am so upset we cant get outta here tomorrow. I am stuck inside the house all week (no car) and the one day we try to get out, we cant now.
I just needed to vent. Dont expect any advice or anything. Just stuck in a rut.

I feel your pain, DH works 2-10 and only has rotating weekend off. Sometimes, it just really really sucks

I hear you. DH works 3-11:30 with Wednesday and Thursday as his days off. Weekend ssuck around here, mornings are rushed and then I am all alone again. I just had a meltdown carrying Ryan and all our stuff in from a party by myself. I am tired of going to eveyrthing by myself and never having a full day off together.
So I totally feel your pain!

I'm sorry!!
Can I suggest getting a car for you? It's not fair that you're home without a car...and who knows, maybe you can find something to do during the week with the baby (like a mommy and me class) and you won't be so bored!!

I hope your DH feels better soon so you can have some chill out time together!
Has he been working these hours a long time? Maybe it will level out after a while? I'm an electrician too and I've heard a lot of stories about working overnights and I know it isn't easy!

I think you should scoop up the baby and drive him to work and home. This way the three of you can spend time together and you can have a car. That's ridiculous not having a car all day. What if there is a baby emergency.

Thanks ladies for all the hugs, suggestions and kind words.
I cant drive him to work. He leaves the house at 2 30 and gets in at 3 in the morning. Cant do that with a baby. Plus, he works in Canarsie which isnt too safe at the moment.
My mom just got a new car and I think my dh is going to use her old car as a "a to b" car so I can have his truck during the day so I can at least get out for a bit. I mean, I go to moms, take walks and stuff but it isnt the same freedom.
Plus, I miss the dummy LOL I miss him being home and I feel bad he isnt getting time with the baby. Shes already growing so fast and I feel like he hardly knows her. Oh well..I guess this is life huh?
