I just got a letter from the Nassau County Office of the Treasurer

Saying that my taxes for 2007 are unpaid but my taxes are rolled into my mortgage which I pay every month. W T F?!? I am going to call 1st thing tomorrow morning ut this is so annoying. And it's a good thing I opened it to b/c at first I saw the old owner's name on the letter and than it said "or current resident". Unless the old owner owes money for taxes. But I shouldnt be responsible for him not paying.

Has anyone else ever gotten a letter like this?

it happened the first year we were in the house. You just need to let your mortgage company know - they'll take care of it (and any penalties for paying late). Its their mistake.

But we've been in the house since June of 2006 and we didnt have a problem last year. And of course I have my mortgage with Countrywide so who knows. There probably keeping the money since they are going bankrupt
