I have a really good plan
So after my 9th IUI didn't work I was really upset because I stupidly bought a house over the summer to try and get my mind off TTC and spent all my money in the process. Since my insurance doesn't cover IVF I was so upset thinking how am I going to do this financially especially with a new mortgage and little savings?
Well recently one of you posted a grant through New Hope. Well I went today for my first meeting and everything looked really well and they thought I'd be a good candidate! My sono and bloodwork were great. DH had to give a SA and they called with our results just before and they were super high and great quality.
So I go back in 2 weeks and if it shows I O-ed correctly and my blood work is good I think I will be accepted into the program and be given an envelope with either regular IVF or mini IVF. Supposedly it is totally random.
For those who were wondering about this grant and what it is all about, well I "think" they are trying to show mini IVF is just as good as regular IVF and gives less multiples. Also it seems they want people who just can't get pregnant, I guess the unexplained catagory.
So I had to make the choice to NOT cycle with LI IVF starting tomorrow, instead I am going to do a water sono with them (The Dr. there said if I did it I couldn't cycle anyway and should do it before IVF). So technically DH and I have a shot with just regular BD-ing and I go back on CD20 to New Hope. If I am accepted I start either BC pills or Lupron.
I am SOOOO excited and already feel I will be accepted, so please can I have some good thoughts and prayers I get this? I totally O on my own just fine so I can't see why I wouldn't be accepted. This is basically my last option to do IVF before I would have to break my 401K which would obviously not be great.
I am also so excited to not do meds this cycle, I have gained a good 12lbs since April and as of 1.5 weeks ago had to put myself on a diet because I cannot afford a new wardrobe.
So any prayers would be greatly appreciated that I am accepted!

Hahaha yes 9 IUI's and Dr. B still didn't think I needed IVF, but LI IVF does.
It wasn't an option so I kept on going with the IUI's which obviously don't work.
I am so excited and hope so much I get picked.

From what I learned mini IVF is about 8k, instead of about 12-15k. But they aim to take only the top 1-5 eggs, like the main egg and the few back up ones. So you could only have 2-4 eggs retrieved and then maybe 2-3 would make it to day 5.
So for me personally if I was paying OOP and could afford it I'd choose regular IVF with the hopes I would have lots of frosties for the furture, or in case it didn't work the first time.
But it is a lot less meds to do the mini IVF.
