I have a question on a D&c Update
They might want to do a d&c on me cause my levels are not going down.
THey took blood from me today and they are going to check to see if the levels went down. She is going to call me later with them. She said if they don't they are going to do a d/c.
I have a questions do they put you to sleep are you awake does it hurt.
I have all the questions about. Were do they do it etc.
Update
I have to have a D/c if not tommorw i will have on wedensday or thursday. I'm so scared. Thanks for the help and the info

you are knocked out.
you can ask the doctor to explain exactly what will happen during the D&C. They can give you a step by step. some women need to know, others just want it over with. hugs!!!

I was given general anesthesia (so I was completely asleep) and I was in the hospital. After the procedure - which lasts about 30 minutes, You are in recovery until you wake up - I was only in the hospital about 30-45 minutes after that. They make sure you can pee etc. I felt a little crampy afterwards but not too terrible- mostly I was just sleepy from the general anasthesia. FM me if you have any other questions. I am sorry you have to go through this.

Same here- I actually felt a little euphoric from the anesthesia so it was nice for an afternoon.

I had a choice to have a sedative through IV or to be knocked out. I didnt want to be under a general if I didnt have to - . It took about 1/2 hour but because of the sedative I was relaxed. You can FM me if you want

try not to be scared- its really not a big deal- the scariest part is the wait and they will give you something to calm your nerves the minute they hook up the IV and then afterward its nothing. You don't even know its happening.

Don't be scared - you will be OK. I was scared too, b/c I didn't know what to expect - but the actual procedure was not difficult at all. It is very routine and quick.
