I have a large cyst....
I went in for my CD 2 blood & sono and they found a large, 50mm, cyst on my left ovary...I am so sad...I really thought since I got AF right on time that I would just be able to start my 3rd cycle but now I have to go back next friday to see if it shrinks...merry christmas to me!!! You would think I would feel this thing to but I dont...even the doctor said and your not in pain?? They said if it shrinks by half next week I would be able to start femara...I have a feeling that this month will be a bust from the start!!!

Sorry to hear about your cyst. I am just confused that they wouldn't start oyu on meds anyway, especially if it does not hurt. I have a history with large cysts (50-60mm) on my right ovary. I have had it removed 2x, but the sucker still comes back. My RE said if it does not grow over time and does not hurt, he is not too concerned about it and won't remove it.
Hopefully, you will be able to move forward without having to wait any longer, than you already have.

He said if I was put on fertility drugs it could cause the cyst to grow larger...This is the largest cyst I have developed so I hope it goes down soon so I can start next week

When I started at the RE, I had a cyst that was 6 centimeters. That's literally 12 times larger than yours. They put me on BCP to see if the cyst would shrink - it shrunk down to nothing in just one month. They kept me on BCP for one more month to be safe, and then I had one natural cycle. After I got that AF, we started my first monitored cycle with Clomid / IUI and I got pg. So the cyst was found in August and I had my successful IUI in December. Those 4 months felt like FOREVER but a cyst as large as mine sometimes requires surgery and would have been dangerous for me to get pg with. Yours is so much smaller! There's a chance it'll just reabsorb into your body and you can keep right on going with your treatment. Good luck and be well!
