I have a daughter! My birth story
So this was my 2nd pregnancy and quite honestly it was a nightmare overall. As I've mentioned I have Crohn's Disease and was in a flare up since the beginning which just got progressively worse.
I was suffering from horrible pain and fevers off and on for weeks. I went to the hospital like 3 times and finally they decided to give me an amnio to make sure baby was ready. I was just about 37 weeks. I was petrified but did it and it was not bad at all. Came back the baby was healthy enough to come out. Then had to have a blood transfusion due to severe anemia (which I was trying to avoid with iron supplements) then straight to the the c section. It was a crazy and scary day but I am so happy she is out and healthy!
Then went for cat scan and they found I have an intestinal abcess. They are hopeful the iv antibiotics helped. I'll continue to take meds during recovery and then go see my GI specialist. I am already feeling so much better though. Sorry for the rambling! Just so relieved and happy to have a baby girl! We already have a son and were team Very exciting. I cannot believe I have a little girl!
