I hate the flu
I have never had the flu before and I'm pretty sure that's what I have. Man, it sux! It started on Tuesday night as a major fever, chills, body aches, etc. Then turned into a very dry cough, headache, belly problems. Now last night I was up all night with what feels like an ear infection. Now, my question is, my ears are killing me, I feel like they really need to pop. Is there anything i can do to induce that besides yawning, or chewing gum or something? It's making me nuts. Also I was dumb and never went to the dr. thinking it would just get better. Is it even worth it now? I've been taking Robitussin and tylenol. I'm kind of freaking out because I have been out from school since Wed. and can't imagine going in tomorrow. Making sub plans has been a nightmare. WAHHHHHH! Ok, sorry, just needed to vent

Hold your nose keep your mouth closed and blow - you will feel your ears pop. You probably have a lot of liquid in you ear/nose/throat area. Be careful, if when you are trying to get your ears to pop they become more painful, then stop, you may have ear infection and should go to the Dr. I just had a really bad cold & my ears were all blocked, but luckily not infected.

i hope you feel better... i would go to the doctor it's never to late, maybe the doc can give you some kind antibiotic.

Thanks ladies. I still feel pretty terible but I am going to go to the dr. tomorrow. Now I just have to find a new doctor because I haven't been to one in a while and don't like my old one. Oh well, I just have to get through the week, then vacation

Not to sound rude or anything but please dont hold your nose and blow to try to make them pop. My friend did this and wound up blowing out both of her eardrums! It was awful!
