I hate our neighbors

so we live in a condo and our neighbors below us are like four 20 year old kids, so a while ago our washing machine line was dripping into one of their bedrooms, so we both had someone come in and have to make a hole in the wall to fix the line that connected us. well the hole is in our bathroom behond our washer/dryer, so we choose not to close it, and apparently they never closed the hole in their bedroom, so the last week, our bathroom and hall way has been smelling like pot, b/c these kids must be smoking up a storm at night being pregnant i am so worried that i have to breathe this is, i am making DH close the hole this week in our bathroom, but i am wondering if b/c their hole will still be open, we will still smell it and b/c they are renters and stupid, going over there and asking them to do it is a waste of time (when we had other issues they never addressed it) and their landlord is NEVER around. I may have to bring it to the condo board, if it doesnt get better. I am so mad b/c i love our condo and everyone esle around us are families or couples. Thank god the smell doesnt travel into the room that will be the babies room. AUGHHH

Eww I'd be upset too! Not only would I call the condo board but the next time I smelled it I would call the fired dept to report a strange smell.

I would absolutely bring it up to the condo board. I would be calling my management company and anyone else who could enforce rules. I bet there are some regulations that the renters and/or landlord need to comply with in order to rent out a condo building. Check out the building bylaws if you don't want to causing trouble without doing your homework first.

I can sympathize. I live in a townhome and I hate my neighbors too. They smoke pot and leave the windows open and listen to the music soooo loud all night. They are in their 40's! I hear boom boom boom through the wall.

I would call the police next time you smell it. I mean afterall..it is illegal.

If you smell it again can you call the Police? It is illegal to smoke pot. You should be concerned. You are going to have an infant in your home soon. Can your husband speak to them about the issue?

as mad as we are, we dont want to make waves, esp. with the baby coming and i will be home without my DH during the days. We are patching the hole this week and then if we still smell it, i am def going to the conodo association or will approach them directly and let them know if they dont contact their landlord in the next few days and get it fixed, we will tell the higher ups, this is def the only bad thing about living in a condo, you dont know whos going to be your neighbors
