I hate nap time
She'll fall asleep in my arms and then when I move her to the crib she'll scream her head off! Very rarely can I get her down for a nap peacefully or a small fuss anymore. She's fed, dry and not in pain. I even gave her teething tablets and mums mums for teething before her bottle. Urgh, this is so frustrating.

Re: I hate nap time
My DD is the same way! Both for naps and at bed time Its so frustrating. Since she's been born I've read and heard its good to put them down "drowsy but awake" so they learn to soothe themselves to sleep. I've tried this so many times and it just never works for my DD. All she ends up doing is screaming with all her might until I finally give in and nurse or rock her. She has to be completely exhausted for me to be able to put her down and for her to stay sleeping, which often results in her only taking one short nap a day because I just can't get her to stay asleep when I put her down. Now she's teething really bad so it's been even worse.
eta, I finally got her out of the rnp and into the crib at 6 months, but now at almost 8 months, she still naps in her rnp because it's the only way I can put her down and keep her sleeping in the daytime, but she's really probably too big for it

Re: I hate nap time
once she's asleep she's down for awhile, like 2-3 hours. if she sleeps in the swing she sleeps for like a half hour. She is a belly sleeper so I do put her right on her belly.
She won round one with the morning nap... and she's still fighting this nap. So far she's napped a grand total of 30 minutes.

Re: I hate nap time
My girls started this after I took placi away. Plus Hannah was sick so i held her to sleep. When I put Hannah down. Need to rub her back a little. They need white noise and their glow worm and lovey blanket. Sometimes I just put them in and they cry and protest but they eventually settle. They cry less as time goes on.

I hate nap time
sorry but good news is it wont last forever.. promise. I have no advice tho. AJ slept on me and I loved it LOL then she learned to sleep by touching me.. foot, arm, leg, side..something had to feel my warmth, it made life easier. But I'm not a CIO type gal, so I just pushed thru it. I still love to snuggle with her, but at 4 its MUCH harder! she stopped letting me hold her to sleep around 2yrs. :(

I don't let her cry as in scream but I do let her fuss if I know she's just protesting going to sleep.
I'd nap with her during the day but she's little and wiggly, I worry she would fall out of the bed.
We were having a tough day.
Thanks for the support ladies and letting me vent.
