I started last week on 1500mg right away but it made me nauseous .. so I went down to 750mg and I have no side effects! (except very tired lately  )

i recently started taking metformin twice daily (i used to take both dosages at night before i went to sleep).... i figured maybe spreading out the dosage would help me loose weight ( im trying ANYTHING at this point) and wow!!! NAUSEA!!!

sorry to hear you are struggling with it.. i have been spared its nasty side effects - the only thing i feel from it is a lack of cravings - and i def dont mind that!!
are you slowly ramping up to your full dose or did you go straight to it? how much are you on? are you on XR or regular?

This is my third go-around with the vile stuff. I don't have IR so we thought it wouldn't help anything, turns out that off of it my egg quality was worse. Too many variables from one cycle to the next to say definitively that it was the Metformin but I'm giving it one more shot...maybe...if I survive this week or 2. I'm taking 1000 mg of the ER twice a day.
I always react this way, I'm just so tired of it all...don't have the fight in me anymore...

im on metformin too and i HATE it too.  im on 2000mg and i actually skipped yesterday bc i have to work today.. dont want any of those side affects creeping up on me when im working

I find that taking it at night AFTER dinner made the side effects so much easier.
I follow a pretty strict Low GI diet and I cut out caffeine.

I take 2000mg a day. I find that taking it after I eat helps A LOT.
The only thing that really bothers me with it is red sauce.....weird and S*CKY since I am Italian and am obsessed with pizza.
