I hate apartment hunting!!!
This is worse than job hunting!
People want rediculous rent for CRAP!
Others will take a cat, but a bunny no way? What is that?
The funny part is we are great tenants. I have rented since 1999, some would die for such a considerate, quiet, and barely home tenant!
The clock is ticking 
I will be so thankful when we are all moved in and settled!

So you know how frustrating it is!!!!
We really hate to give a full month rent to a realtor, but are willing to if it's a great place, since we are looking to stay at least 1 1/2 to 2 years in it. Some realtors still want to show you crap and we have no time for that in our schedules!

We are trying to find a good tenant and we haven't seen that many that we love yet. We may go through a realtor soon.

That has to be hard, because I have heard stories from both sides, intrusive landlords and horrible tenants who distroy the place.

I hate apartment hunting too--I have had quite a few thigsn fall through, for mysterious, shady reasons.
I'm surprised they won't take your bunny. My last place wouldn't take cats or dogs, but all other pets were ok.

We are in the same position. We have two cats and a bunny. People look at us like we're crazy when we say we have a bunny. She stays in the cage and doesn't make a mess at all, but that always seems to turn landlords off. We are desperately trying to find a 2 bedroom in our price range. UGH it *****!!!!

I know maybe I am biased, but I actually had a person say, oh no I don't want a bunny, but would take a car...OH AND SHE JUST CALLED and said, come see it, but I still don't know if I want the bunny.  WHY THE HECK WOULD I BOTHER SEE IT. I don't want you as my landlord,,,who's to say you won't evict me in a few months?

It's ok we had a guy say he was ok with the cats and bunny. When we went back a 2nd time to look at the apt and sign the lease he said he was afraid they would be smelly and was them coming with us a must. um YEA. what am i going to do leave them in my current apt? hello

I feel for you! Sorry you are having such a hard time!
DH and I did the apartment search quite a few times and came up with a whole load of crap for outrageous prices!
The only way we could find a decent apartment was to go through a realtor! I hated having to give them a freaking realtor fee, but we did find an AMAZING apartment! You may just have to give in like we did.

Well, maybe if you brought hte bunny, she'd fall in love with him/her & give you the apartment!
