I HATE...

having to get DH's opinion on every little decorating thing I want to do to the house. Our tastes could not be more different...style and design-wise, we are polar opposites. Its a huge, constant battle to even get to a compromise on most things.

OMG I can totally relate! We haven't even moved into the house yet and I'm getting lectured that he wants to be part of all purchases. I'm sure that's not going to last because he hates shopping. He said I can't even buy a bath rug without him. Yeah, OK, like I'm going to listen.

I feel your pain ladies.

I do think that DH is just starting to realize one of the 2 following things:

1. That I have better taste than him

or

2. If I don't have to go look at it, its fine by me.

This used to be us - in fact I think I posted the exact same issue about 6 months ago - then gradually I just started buying stuff on my own and putting them all over the house. He eventually deferred to my superior decorating skills.

When I say superior, I mean superior to his skills...
