I had a dream last night

I finally had our . He was small though, 6lbs 2oz, which didn't make sense since at 34 weeks he weighed 5lb 8oz. It was painful giving birth and for some reason, I was giving birth with other LIF'ers (I'm on here waaaay too much) I don't remember who they were... it could be you! My doctor actually delivered my baby. This is something I get nervous about from time to time.

The best part of the dream was my mother and grandmother were there. They helped me with him. My mother passed away in 2007 from Leukemia and my grandmother passed away in 2009, she was in the final stages on Alzheimer's. It was really amazing seeing them there, they were no longer sick, my mother had hair and my grandmother had all her wits about her, and they where so happy to hold their (great)grandson.

My son will be here soon but this dream will never come true. No matter how aggravated your relatives make you, especially during your pregnancy, just remember that you have them around. I cannot express how envious I am that you get to be with those people that are most important to you. There's not a day that goes by that I wish my mother and grandmother were here to share our happiness together.

your baby will be here soon! and altho your mom and grandmother wont physically be there, they wil totally be with you every step of the way!!

I cannot imagine not having my mom around for all of this ... I'm so sorry. But maybe your dream was a way of reminding you that they are never really gone ... those loved ones live on in the stories and pictures and traits we share with our little ones ...

Must have been so comforting to have your mom and grandma by your side for such an amazing and wonderful life changing experience. Makes me believe they truly are always watching over you and trying to help lead you in the "right" direction. Hold that dream near and dear to your heart.

Dreams like that just prove that your mother and grandmother are with you and have been every step of the way. I hope you found comfort in it and will remember their presence when you really do give birth.

What a great dream!! We would give almost anything for DH's mom to be there when is born.

And you can totally admit that I was one of the LIfers there. I know it! Kidding. We'll be in different states.

Thank you ladies! I just thought I had to share it. It seemed so real and almost relieving, if that makes sense.

I have these kind dreams from time to time. A week after my mother passed away, I had a dream I walked with her through the hospital holding her hand. She said to me "You don't have to hold my hand anymore, I'm ok."
I'll never forget that for the rest of my life.

Sorry if I made you ladies sad. I just wanted to tell you my of experience.

oh that was such a great dream! I imagine how hard that must be to not have your mom around. I have my mom but DH does not and I know that all these big events are really hard for him - our wedding, birth of our LO - it's just said. . I sometimes think of that when I hear people having IL problems - that I just wish so much that I had met her. . not so say that this takes away from other people's problems. . I know have IL can be hard but I agree that not having folks can be very hard!!!




oh and on a lighter note. . I that LIF folks showed up in your dream!!
