I got the strangest thing today - would love your thoughts
When I got home there was a package from BRU on my step addressed to Cailen.
Inside, there was a print out on the receipt from distant friends of the family (not sure who they are, actually) congratulating me on my newest addition.
Inside were little onesies, receiving blankets, stuff like that - sizes 6-9 mts. I had a nice little flashback to when Cailen was born, but otherwise was like 
Maybe they heard I had a baby and thought I JUST had a baby recently? They wouldn't send this to someone with a 15 mt old right?
Should I just send a card and thank them and just be done with it, or make a reference to him being 15 mts? Not in a bad way, but in a cute way....
thoughts?

Just thank them politely. They may have just heard and assumed. They'll eventually find out that he's much older. I would feel too bad to say anything!

I would just send the card and thank them. No use in upsetting them or embarrassing them for being a year late!

You should squeeze Caillen into the onsies and take a picture to send to them with the thank you
It sounds like they thought you had just had a baby. just send the card and be done with it.

I would thank them and then take the stuff back to BRU to buy things that are more appropriate for his current size.
There may also be a way to trace when the order was placed based on an order number.

On the order slip it says the rder was placed 7/10/08 - DH and I thought it came late too!
Thanks ladies - I will just send a nice thank you - I'm sure they will find out sooner or later that I have a moose who wears 3-4T, nothing with the word "months" anywhere on the label!!!

One thing that came to mind is that maybe they looked you up on the baby registry and thought he was born THIS year instead of last?? That would make more sense...Who knows?? I would def return the stuff and get things in his size.
I liked someones suggestion of putting him in the onesies and taking a pic!!!

defiantly send a thank you.. the person who told them probable mentioned his birthday but not the correct year. So thinking he was just born. I would send a thank you with a recent picture of him.. that will let them know hes not a newborn.

I like the idea of including a recent picture of him with the thank you. The picture will explain itself plus I think it's nice to send them a picture since they went out of there way to send you a gift to a baby they never met.
