i got a little nervous
You know how "they" say you shouldn't stretch or reach for things when you're expecting. Well, I was napping (of course) on the couch and raised my arm over my head and proceeded to yawn. It was a semi stretch i guess, but then as I was doing that I felt as if something either ripped or the baby kicked me right by my belly button. I would prefer the kick. Either way it startled me. I was afraid I hurt the baby. Do you think I should call the doc.? Or am I being a little silly. TIA ladies!

You didn't rip anything and the baby is fine. It's okay to stretch out and yawn. But, I do understand the paranoia, we've all been there.

Who says you shouldn't stretch? That's ridiculous. Heavy lifting perhaps, but stretching is just fine....
The twinge you felt is likely your uterus stretching. I get the same thing when I cough or sneeze sometimes.

I never heard anything about stretching either. Heavy lifting, yes, not good, but stretching?
There are so many old wives' tales floating around, sometimes it's hard to tell what's really not good and what's probably okay.
