I finally did it....
I finally packed my hospital bag at 38 weeks! 
I just need to grab a few things at lunchtime today and it is set.
Also have to wash a few more items for my little guy's bag.

I really do feel relieved that it's done. As soon as I put the last item in I felt like a weight was off my shoulders. Oh yeah - that was DH.  No he was really good to push me - just a little neurotic about the bag. He was stressed over having to get things on his own and me yelling at him in the hospital. I so would not have yelled...just raised my voice

The motivation for me packing my bag is that I can only imagine what James would bring for me if he had to. Probably something that is a size 4 that I fit into ages ago. He would have no clue.
I didn't pack my entire bag yet but I did write a detailed list so that if the time comes I can just grab everything and go.

Quick question or two: probably a dumb question, but in terms of nightgown and/or pj bottoms and tops, do you get maternity of these, or a larger non-maternity size? 
I wouldn't have thought about breast pads...better add that to my list. And maxi pads-- guess I should add those too.
I've also heard recommendations that we should send home valuables with DH every night...cameras, videocameras, Ipods, etc. Anyone else plan on doing that?

I have a pair of XL Old Navy PJ bottoms that I have been wearing now so I will bring them - they have a draw string in case I need to take them in a little. The top is a long sleeve fitted from Target that figure will be comfy enough. I kind of expect to wear the hospital gown for the most part but wanted these "comfort" clothes just in case.
The hospital will give you breast pads and maxis but I packed a particular brand that I like - just two to have for myself.
Definitely agree with not keeping valuables in the room. Good idea to send them home.
