I fell in love with a condo....
but I should of looked at a map first
I had no idea westchester was as big as it is!
I really need to only look at lower westchester- the condo I love is way to north and west for us
so I printed out a map now and I will refine my search
I am so upset- this place was stunning- it's a old stone mansion built in the 1920's converted into condos- so it has tons of details and old word charm you just don't find in new construction- but with the open floor plan and modern kicthen of new construction
back to the drawing board!

Re: I fell in love with a condo....
thank you
this condo is in cortlandt manor
too north for someone to commute to Garden City even on off hours right?
and I work in Stamford- but might want to work in NYC at some point in the future
TIA!

Re: I fell in love with a condo....
That is a little far, best to stick with areas off 95 or the Hutch. Good luck!

Oh, that's too bad. Yeah, Cortlandt Manor is practically in Putnam County, and it's also pretty far west.

Re: I fell in love with a condo....
I spent about 2 hours just trying to get Jake to agree to look at it online
he isn't one to plan ahead- we need to start looking in the spring- and that's when he will be ready to discuss it
but he said he would look at this one tonight- I am going to show him anyway- just for him to get an idea of what I want

Re: I fell in love with a condo....
The commute wouldn't be short but you have to decide if it's worth it. When I met my DH, he was living in Queens and working in Putnam county - about 65 miles each way, five days a week! I thought he was nuts but it worked for him. And also consider your future - you may be working in Manhattan which wouldn't be bad or maybe you're planning a family and wouldn't want to be that far away.
