I did the unthinkable - I woke him up!

DS will be 6 weeks tomorrow and last night I woke him up during the night to give him BM after he slept for 4.5 hours
(the longest so far).

When do I start letting sleep and not past the 5 hour mark for BF babies?

NOW! Let him sleep. You are SO lucky...DS still is every 2.5-4 hrs at the most whether it's BM or a bottle of formulaChat Icon

After the 2nd week my ped told us to let him sleep since he was gaining weight. Ever since then we let him tell us when he is hungry at night.

I think 6 weeks is OK. Your supply is established. I think it is OK to let him sleep now! Enjoy your much deserved rest!

I was told if she is gaining weight at the appropriate rate (which she is) to let her sleep and not wake her. DD right now most nights will go down between 9 and 11 and sleep until 4 or 5, feed and go right back down until about 7 or 8.

Let him sleep. If he is gaining weight he is fine. DS goes down at like 12pm and wakes up now at like 4:30 he also sleeps for like four-five hours during the day.

Consider yourself lucky! Let that baby sleep for as long as he'd like!
