Baby Girl #2 is Here!

I did something stupid
So I was curled up on the couch and Dh brought me some hot soup. I sat up and the whole bowl of hot soup spilled on my abdomen and thigh. It was so hot so of course I started screaming and crying. Almost like I went into shock. I immediately ran in the shower and put cold water on both areas. Some skin on my abdomen has peeled off and is blistering.
I am only 5 weeks and I am scared to death that this has effected the baby. Do you think I did any harm to the baby?

Ouch, that sounds really painful!  I don't think it could hurt the baby, they're well protected in there especially that early on. Try not to stress and feel better soon!

DOnt worry your baby is fine! Your the only one who felt the pain. Just like if you take hot showers it wouldn't affect the baby either.

getting burned on the outside has no effect on the baby. assuming you didn't have third degree burns with skin hanging off that could get infected...im sure you are fine.

Ouch!
You have no idea how many times I've burned my belly on my stove. I'm very clumsy. one time I was straining pasta and water dripped on my belly, OUCH! Baby's fine!
