I couldn't believe it.....
we went to Jones Beach to walk on the boardwalk and they were charging for parking. I don't remember them ever charging this early! We decided to keep driving and went to Long Beach instead.

 that is such crap! they have no lifeguards on duty till memorial day
ETA: DH and I went to RM beach yesterday and it was free
