I could use some cleaning help!
I forgot that I had pasta on the stove and accidentally boiled the water out of the pot.  I got the pot mostly clean but now it has this strange white stuff on the bottom (inside) that I cannot get off. Does anyone have a suggestion to get it clean?

I don't know what it is but when I have a pot that I can't get clean, I put water and dish soap in it and put it on the stove on low/medium and let the hot water and soap loosen debris.

hmmm...
did you try resoaking it with some Dawn? is it a non stick pot?

I do this...it sometimes takes a couple of rounds to get everything out but it usually works.

It is not a non stick pan, it is a calphalon stainless pot.
