I can't believe some people are Parents part 2

I was in Rite Aid yesterday and there was this Mom constantly screaming at her daughter around age 5. When we got to the register she turned to her daughter who she was buying a ball for, and said, I should be buying a wiffle ball bat so I could hit you over the head with it I was so speechless and seriously had to control myself from saying something.

Why are some parents so incredibly stupid, ignorant and downright MEAN!!!

not that i would have done that, but just wait til you get to those days when your 5 yr old makes you wanna scream while trying to shop... i sympathize with her, but at the same time that wasn't cool what she said

I wonder if she is friends with a mom from DS's school (another class) who also goes to the same gym I do.
I was 2 treadmills from her on Friday and she said to her friend "I don't want to go to this stupid thing (mother's day tea at school). I have to be there at 11 so I can't workout that long. Plus I don't know if I should go to the school in my gym clothes or change?" Her friends says something that I couldn't hear and she responds with " I should just goes in my gym clothes, how many mom's have a body like this and it takes a lot of work to get it!" Then she said it was lame because she doesn't know any of the other mom's...It's MAY how could you not know other mom's since Sept.!!! Then she was complaining because she had to back at 2pm for other son's mother's tea.

All I could think about were how excited the kids get to sing the songs and give the pictures they made to their parents. They practice this for weeks and she just ruined it. I feel so bad for her kids.

I just don't get it!! Not one bit!
If I was with someone, I prob. wouldve said something to them (outloud) hoping the "mean mommy" would hear me!

I get how someone could say this. I honestly do. And I agree they can make you crazy - I made the mistake of taking my 3 to Target mid afternoon yesterday - however I just wonder what someone like that says to their kids in private if that's what they say out in public. Sure she *probably* wouldn't really hit the kid with a bat but it's still mean to say that to small child. And then the same person is mortified when the teacher tells them their child is mean to other kids.
