I Can't Believe I Am Being Induced On Friday--Question For You Ladies

My time has finally come. This FRIDAY is it!!! I will be 39 weeks and 1 day. I am so excited but nervous! I am scheduled at St Charles Hospital for an 8:30 AM induction.

Any advice or tips? I was told to be there at admitting an hour before.

Remind me, how many people besides my husband can come be with me during labor, and how about delivery???Did I hear right that 4 people (or is it 3) can be with you during labor besides DH and 2 people besides DH during delivery?

I also heard just last week that they haven't been as strict as they said they were going to be with the visiting hours. Anyone have any RECENT knowledge of this?

I had DD in July there... so im not sure if that is recent enough for you... i had a scheduled C-section- we got there, checked in downstairs and went right up to a room (i didnt expect it to be that fast) I got undressed and into a gown, they connected the IV and did all the last minutes tests and questions that they needed to. Once they were done they said i could have some people come in if I wanted. (DH was with me the entire time) my MIL, FIL, SIL & mom came in. The nurse said it was up to me how long they stayed. BTW, the nurses at this point were fabulous! Then I walked on into the operating room, and had the surgery.

Visting hours were 2-4 for grandparents, I dont know about strictness of this, because we didnt try to sneak anyone in... I was also lucky to have my own room for the first few days because it wasnt crowded... then during the night visiting hour, i had a bunch of people come- they didnt seem to worry about how many people came up... but after the hour, they did ask that everyone leave so they could let the babies back out... and they were not super strict about when DH had to leave either...

Also, i had the BEST sandwich EVER from there!! It was ham and apple and cheddar cheese Everyday you get to call your dinner and lunch order in from a huge menu... breakfast is a buffet. I would usually stock up on fruit during that time, so i had stuff to snack on before lunch and dinner.
