I burnt the cord on my maxi-glide.

Can I fix it somehow? Chat Icon Yes, I know, bad bad bad, but the cord got too close while heating up. I still don't know why they don't put little stands on flattening irons like they do on curling irons because they don't sit right. Anyway, suggestions?

Somehow I thought this had to do with tampons.

Re: I burnt the cord on my maxi-glide.

You can cover it with electrical tape but its probably a fire hazard. Take it to an appliance repair shop(there used to be one on Jericho in Commack by Craft Shoes) and have them replace the cord.

How bad is it burnt? Is it just a singe, or can you see the copper wires?

LMAO, me too!! I was gonna say. I think maybe you could use electrical tape around the cord, only temporarily. But after that you are probably gonna have to buy a new one.

Re: I burnt the cord on my maxi-glide.

I answered your FM, but just for everyones knowledge, she needs to replace the cord or buy a new one, whichever is cheaper. If copper is showing, it is unsafe, but if it is just singed, she would have been fine.
