I am soooo MAD right now (LONG)

At Primary Medical Care of Suffolk County in Smithtown

About 6 months ago we made an appt for DH for the 3rd phase of the Hepatitis shot. 6 MONTHS AGO.

I call them to today to confirm his appt at 5:15 and to be sure they have the shot. Because when we went for the 1st phase they didn't have the shot in stock, even though DH had an appt. We sat there for almost an hr that day before they came in and told us they didn't have. So they told us, in the future be sure to call the office to confirm the medicine is in. Which I think is BS in it self, because WHY does the patient need to confirm this. But whatever, fine we'll call. 2nd phase went fine.

Fast forward to today's 3rd phase appt.
I called today (don't remember the time) to confirm his appt. They tell me, oh, that dr is no longer here and you should have been called to reschedule.
I tell the girl "well guess what, nobody called us". She fits us in with another dr tonight. I tell her it's for the 3rd phase of the hepa shot, please confirm the medicine is. She comes back to me and tells me "yes, he's all set". SO we go for the appt and guess what! YUP, they don't have the medicine. Are you F'ing kidding me. I lost it!
They ask me "well did you call 1st". YES I called and they confirmed it.
The office manager comes over to apologize and explain "someone else used it this morning".
I tell "this is unacceptable. this is the 2nd time this has happened and you will now loose a patient because I will not deal with an office that is so unorganized". The dr than comes over to also apologize. I say to her " Are you going to pay me for the gas we wasted and the time I took off work? If not,I don't accept your apology and to just stop talking to me because I am already dealing with your office manager." She just walked away!
The office manager reschedules DH for tuesday. AND can you believe she has the nerve to tell me to call before we come in to make sure they have the medicine! I told "Listen, you call me to tell you have. IF I do not hear from you he will NOT be here. And I BETTER not get charged for a missed appointment, if that's the case".


UGH!!! Thanks for letting me vent!


Now that I got that out, I can cook dinner

Sorry you went through that!

On the other hand, good for you for giving it to them! That is just rediculous! If you know you have an appointment coming in for a certain med, you better make sure you have it! That's just crazy!
