I am so upset...
I am feel like I am under so much pressure. I am 6 weeks and I am so so sick all of the time. Every once in awhile I have to take medication for the nausea because it is so bad. DH is on my case about "eating well for the baby" and not taking anything that may be harmful for the baby. Well, what about ME??? He doesnt have to deal with this and he would never be able to. I cant take this...I wish he would just stop criticizing and let me take care of myself. My dad jumped on the bandwagon this morning with the same thing. The best is that he said" You should stay home from work when you feel sick" Well, guess what...that is EVERYDAY!!! It just gets me so mad. I was hysterically crying this morning...I wish that men would go through this and see what its like

Re: I am so upset...
My doctor told me the other night that if I don't feel well and can only keep down junk food, to eat junk food. She said eat whatever you want. You are taking vitamins and the baby will be just fine. It seems a lot of people say eating small amounts frequently seems to help. Feel better.

Re: I am so upset...
You have plenty of time to focus on eating "right" - for now you need to take care of YOU and make it through by doing whatever works for you. The nausea meds are totally safe or else your Dr. wouldn't prescribe them! Feel free to come on here and vent, men can't really understand what it's like at all. They are always looking for solutions so are probably just trying to help you, but that is no help when all you want is a little sympathy. Hope you start to feel better soon!

Re: I am so upset...
My Dr. also told me to eat whatever I could. Even if it wasn't good for me.
I did not have to take the medicine. I still get nausceous (sp?) but not as bad. This is what helped for me, and I hope it helps for you.
--eat crackers before you even get out of bed. --eat breakfast FIRST thing --when you get to work, eat something else --eat lots of smaller meals.
I noticed that I get nauseous when I am hungry or overly stuffed. I can not eat a whole meal at one sitting because then I get sick. Eat 1/2 your lunch at let's say..12, then eat the rest at 3...then have a little something like pretzles before you leave the office, then dinner when you get home.
this is just a suggestion. It helped tremendously for me. I was so sick I thought I was going to pass out every 15 minutes.

Re: I am so upset...
Listen, take a deep breath. Did your doc give you Zofran for the nausea and vomitting? If so, it is perfectly safe. My SIL was on it for the entire 9 months she was preggo with twins and her babies were huge for twins.
My doc said if you can only eat bagels, then eat bagels, whatever you need to do is ok! I ate Pizza for 13 weeks straight.
I promise you will get better in a few weeks and then you can eat healthier. PLEASE don't worry- you will be ok.
PS When my DH got on my case, I puked on him (honesly not on purpose) and he never said a word since.....
A million 's!!!!

Re: I am so upset...
Men don't understand. How do they expect you to absorb ANY nutrients if you are constantly vomiting??
I was in your shoes...I couldn't eat ANYTHING but Burger King Chicken Sandwiches (plain) and Coca-Cola for the first 14 weeks. My daughter is fine
Once the M/S subsides and you hit Tri 2, you'll have plenty of time (and ambition) to eat well. Do what is best for you!

Re: I am so upset...
I agree with all of the above. And tell DH and your dad to BACK OFF!! Seriously, you need to be very serious when explaining to them that the baby will be just fine, and that YOU need to feel good. I usually only have to tell DH to back off once, and then he gets it.
