I am so annoyed.
i just called my Lhasa's vet (he's been with them for all 11 yrs) and they tell me that before he gets groomed he needs one of his shots, that's fine I make the appt. Then they tell me "by law' we need to pay an additional 55 for a well visit. I don't mean to be rude but that he doesn't need. I don't mind spending the $$, but how dare they say its the law.

Re: I am so annoyed.
I doubt it's by Law. That is such BS... Personally I'd find another vet and give this one a piece of my mind.
It angers me SO much how these vets rip people off...knowing how people feel about their pets and how they would do anything for them. The fact that they take advantage of that truly sickens me!

Re: I am so annoyed.
my vet never charges me for visits if one of my pets gets a shot
I can't even tell you how riped off I feel after having to take my pet to another vet during the weekend when my Vet was closed
my vet looked at the bill and couldn't believe some of the charges on there
and then he went easy on me for the rest of the treatment
but I feel like some vets take advanatage of people b/c they can

Re: I am so annoyed.
I would want my animal to get a well visit before shots. Especially if the animal hasn't been to the vet in a while.

Re: I am so annoyed.
If the animal hasn't been to the vet in a year or more, they are supposed to have a well visit. Just to make sure things are all okay (eyes, ears, joints, etc.) You could take the dog to a local Petco for its shots and then you have the shots plus you won't need the well visit.
