I am so annoyed - eating related vent!
The new thing Landon does is chew up food and leave it in his mouth for like 15 minutes and eventually spits it out. I am so furious, but not letting him know (venting about it online instead). How can I get him to stop this?

Ugh, we call that chipmunking
Jack will do that with chicken usually. I will remind him to chew chew chew. If that doesn't work, I usually use whatever "dessert" (puffs, crunchies, fruit) we're having as a motivator to get him to eat properly. If he doesn't eat dinner.....no dessert. hth

Ugh he just spit it out along with a mouthful of spit. I am ignoring him now bc he is trying to get attention.
A few mins ago the ice cream truck drove by and I asked him if he wanted ice cream, he said yes, and I said swallow your food that is in your mouth and finish your dinner and you then can have ice cream. Made no difference.

I know someone whose DC can keep it there for hours and he is 6 now.
I would just ignore it. Evenutally he will eat it.
I know it isn't the same but when DS was little up until he was about 2, he would take the food off the tray from the high chair and hide it in his seat and eat it from there
