I am sick
Really sick I don't remember feeling like this in years. I have been barely out of bed since last night. Could you all please tell me what medicines they said it was ok for you to take besides Tylenol.

My doctor says sudafed is ok. But other people might tell you different. Call your doctor and they will let you know what they recommend.

I just went to the Dr. on Friday because I too am miserable and haven't been able to get out of bed! She said Robitussin (the plan kind),tylenol, and vitamin C...other than that lots of rest and fluids!! Oh she also said vicks was okay and those little tabs you drop in the tub or shower to help with the congestion!!

I have been this way since last week. I was told I could safely take Robitussin PE, DM and regular...as well as Sudafed. It was recommended that I use a saline nasal spray as well as a humidifier.
I wound up going to my primary Dr and was given an antibiotic for a sinus infection. However the antibiotic is done and I am still as sick as I was earlier in the week...which leads my OB to believe that it is viral and I will just have to ride it out. Yay.
I would call your OB...stay hydrated and feel better!

Thank you all! Colleen I hope you feel better soon too I am feeling a little better. This hit me like a mack truck at 7pm with a sore throat that hurt so much and other 'flu' symptoms. Several cups of very hot decaf tea later my throat feels great but I am still 'sick' now I only feel like I got run over by a car not a mack truck.  I have only been taking tylenol to bring down the fever but if I am not better after tomorrow then I will have to consider other things. I will also call the doctor tomorrow.
Thank you all again. I think I will sleep with the humidifier tonight though to help make my breathing better.

I too came down with something this weekend. It's mostly a head cold, I've been drinking as much fluids as possible!
It's no fun being sick!!!!
