I am new to the site...
but I have been browsing on this board for sometime. DH and I plan on purchasing a home this year and it is all just so new and overwhelming for me! 
First off does anyone have a real estate agent to recommend? There are a few homes I have seen in Nassau and Suffolk that we are interested in seeing but not sure how to go about it. Do I just call the agents directly? Get my own and go that route?
Are there any questions we should ask the RE agent?
Thanks so much for your help. I am learning so much from this board and I hope that I can soon join the many of you that have your own home :D

Hi, welcome!!  I don't have any advice about any realtors, but I just went through the whole mortgage, home-buying process and am on the way to closing. Good luck! It's overwhelming, but very exciting!!

welcome.. Enjoy the home buying process. Dont have a recommendation for you, but some advice. Agents dont work for you they work for the seller.
Verify everything they say to.. Like there are COs, make sure you call the town to verify, verify actual taxes as well.
