i am new here
hi there just wanted to introduce myself I am almost 31 and was diagnosed with PCOS about 3 and 1/2 years ago and have been doing IVF ever since. I am currently doing another round now I start my stim meds on saturday so my retrieval will be in about 2 1/2 weeks. I did get pregnant on my last one in december with twins but I ended up losing them both. At 8 weeks twin B just stopped beating and at 17 weeks I went into preterm labor with my daughter. So now I am finally really to get back on the horse not looking forward to it at all. The egg retrievals have always been rough on me as I can't get anasteisia. Anyway that's my story in a nut shell...

I am so sorry for you loss...and I can't imagine how you go through retrieval without anesthesia.

me either the first one they gave me anasteasia and i ended up throwing it up and aspirated it into my lungs they then needed to ressusotate me so the next few tries I have been doind ketamine and versette (i know i spelled them wrong) and although they knock me out I was still fully aware of what was going on and FELT everything my hubby said he could hear my yelping from the OR

I am so sorry for your loss.
Retrieval without anesthesia? Do you mean you can't go under general or you can't have anesthesia at all? Like a local one? WOW.
Good luck to you with this cycle.

no i get a low dose of local ketamine and versette which didn't do much except take off the edge still hurt like heck!!!

Good luck to you! Sounds like you have been through a whole lot and deserve a good outcome this time. I too have had a few losses and late term loss and I wondered why some are chossen to go through it. I never found the answers but know its for some kind of reason. I wish you the best!!!!

thanks for all of your words of encouragement and well wishes we are currently trying again I just started my stim meds today and I went for sono i already have folicle growing that I did all by myself I haven't done that before i started a cycle yeah me!!!!
