I am freaking out
I got my second AMH results back and it dropped from .31 to .08. My RE won't even let me wait until after the holidays, she said we need to do IVF this month. So I am starting as soon as AF arrives. I am so afraid this isn't going to work. Or I will run out of money and now time isn't on my time to save up. I am so scared.

Re: I am freaking out
I'm hoping it works out for you.
Could it be the test was a fluke? Will she re-test? According to my original AMH, we were in a very tough spot, but the Dr. said whenever he gets a less favorable result, he always re-tests just in case. And the 2nd one was better. Not by much, but better.
Ask her to re-test.

Re: I am freaking out
I agree with the pp's suggestion to get it retested. Also, have you considered going for other opinions? I know it's hard when you're NOT a doctor to not just trust what the doctor tells you because you just don't know any better... and I'm not saying not to trust her - but from experience, doctors can be very... verrrrrry.... wrong. Just make sure you are going into this as confident as possible that this is absolutely the best decision for you and your family.

Re: I am freaking out
I would listen to your doctor and start IVF ASAP. The fact that your first result came back low and your second test came back even lower I don't believe the test is a fluke at this point. I also have low AMH and IVF worked for me (so far… knock on wood). My doctor kept reiterating I was lucky because I was aggressive and didn’t wait. Unfortunately, there is nothing over time that will help improve DOR (especially with low #s like ours). If you wait another month to retest the number most likely isn’t going to go up significantly enough (if at all) to change the situation. Don’t lose hope and don’t freak out. You’re in good hands. I wish you the best of luck. Feel free to FM me anytime.

Re: I am freaking out
Thanks ladies. I don't really see the point in retesting. My AFC is only 9 which is low, so the AMH even if it is off a little, is going to be low. I really trust my doctor, and I know jumping to IVF is the right choice, I am just so afraid this won't work.
I guess the one thing I have in my corner is I get multiple eggs from clomid, so I am hoping it will be the same for IVF.
I wish I knew why this was happening.
