Go through those drawers and look for an old remote and take the batteries out. You will need it to distract him from the REAL remote. We have to do this all the time.

I tried that with DD. The remote I gave her to play with even has a dial on it, besides the buttons, so I figured it would be even better.... nooooo.... she like the "real" remotes...

Taylor is absolutely obsessed with remotes and cell phones!!!
My mom dug out an old remote for her to play with, not as interesting as the FIOS remote that lights up, but she will have to suffer

I put on whatever channel I want to watch....and take 1 battery out, and give DD the real remote to play with. She loves it.
