I am a mommy - Updated with birth story
BabyLSP decided to make an early appearance last night. My water broke at about 5 pm and I was adimtted into L&D and had him via c-section at 10:36 pm. He is 7 lbs 14 oz. and 20 1/2 inches long. Mommy, Daddy and baby are loving every minute of it. He is slowly learning to brest feed.
BabyLSP was born on 8/1 at 10:36 pm after my water broke. I was supposed to have a scheduled c-sction on 8/3 but my baby had other plans. On Wednesday at about 5:30 I felt a slight leak and after a few minutes realized that it was not stopping. DH and I went to the hospital and I was supposed to have the c-section at 8 pm but got bumped back because some other now mommy unfortunately had to have an emergency c-setion for failure to decend. By the time I was permitted to go into the OR, I was having contractions every 8 minutes. The doctor on call did an internal when I arrived and I was 100% effaced and 2 centameters dialated. Since they new my baby was a footling breech, I had to have a c-section. I will admit I was scared but the spinal tap meds worked great. The c-section was fine. I am leaving the hospital this morning after 4 days here. The c-section site burns if I turn to quickly. I also develped an alergic reaction to the tap the doctor used to secure the bandages. At first, the tape blisters were more painful than the c-section but as I move arround more I can feel the burn from the c-section. Good luck to everyone else. Becomming a mommy is truly magical.
