I am a little nervous- updated 12/9
I am going in for my laprascopy surgery tomorrow.
Not only am I afraid to do the surgery ( I am such a big baby) I am scared @ to hear what my Dr will find.
I KNOW that I can't control what is going on or not internally, but I am still a basket case. Part of me is excited to proceed and petrified @ the same time.
I am not allowed to eat anthing today besides liquids, so by the end of today I will probably also be a cranky bi+ch.
My house is stocked with Jello-
Anyone else do this or feel this way?

UPDATE--------
The surgery was a sucess. My incisions are a bit sore today. I was very appreciative of the warning of the shoulder pains- the hospital mentioned it to me but I felt 1 step ahead as the girls here told me first
The surgery was a laproscopy, hysteroscopy and d&c( I think the d&c part was the clean up)
I have 2 tiny incisions and a clear bandage over my belly button. No pain today except for my incisions being sore.
ETA- I actually have 3 incisions
The Dr removed some endometriosis and some polyp like things.
My tuebes and ovaries are open for business soon . I received my rubella shot 11/27 so I think the dr told dh yesterday 1 month after that and it's fair game.
I think I will be starting the blood thinners and drugs to legnthen my luteal phase soon as well.
I am grateful that we will be able to ttc the old fashioned way with a little help of some drugs.
I have my post surgery appointment 12/14. I'll know more then.
I am optimistic about the outcome and am glad that the surgery is over with!

Good luck tomorrow! I haven't had the surgery but just remember anything you find out is knowledge and I always would rather know what is going on and how to deal with it rather than wondering about what ifs!

good luck tomorrow
just a little advice - they (the drs) put air in the belly area to see what they are doing and later tomorrow night you might feel some pain in your shoulder area - do not panic and do not call 911 and get an ambulance to the hospital as if you were about to die -- thats what I did and it wasn't necessary - if you can, and you feel the pain, walk around your bedroom a little - the walking helps it move around
hope I am not scaring you, but I wish I had been warned of this pain

Oh no, you did scare me @ all. I appreciate your feedback. I for sure would have been calling 911.

somewhat slow - I wasn't 100% for a few weeks, but they took out one of my tubes while they were in there.

I REALLY appreciate the shoulder pain info as well.
Also, just for the record I received some very encouraging fm's from a poster here who has been through this, and between you guys and her info I am feeling a lot more relaxed about this.

I had a lap procedure for somehting else and that shoulder pain is sooo weird. I wish I had had a warning too.

Lots of Luck! You will be fine. I had Lapro in July. I didn't get any shoulder pain. Since they pump your stomach with air, you will feel bloated for about a week or so. My DH had pain meds filled for me, but I didn't need to use any. No pain, just a little discomfort. Any questions FM me!
