I accepted an offer

Thanks everyone for your advice. After nearly 3 years of working a crazy boss and a ****** company I was offered and accepted a new position. I chose Company A as I had spoke about in another post.'
This seems like a good opportunity, liked what I saw from the interviews, it is more money. I give my present company notice on Tues. I am happy but still have mixed emotions.

Wish me luck :) Any suggestions on how to give notice. I have never done this at pastjobs in my industry the day you give notice you are escorted out of the building but this company lets you stay the 2 weeks.

CONGRATS! Pumpkin!

First of, before you give notice I strongly recommend you do the following because it is no guarantee that you will NOT be told to leave the same day or before your 2 weeks is up. If they are upset with you they will not hesistate to ask you to leave sooner than later:

1. remove all your personal files from the computer, including personal emails

2. start to take some stuff home so you have less later

3. use up the money in your flex plan, if you participate

4. take advantage of the medical plan

Afterwards do give notice. If you are not happy with them an dont need future references from them, just be curt and professional in your letter.
