Re: Hysteroscopy

I had one done to have a large polyp removed. I was so scared especially about the anesthesia but it really wasn't bad at all. The procedure itself is really quick and of course with the anesthesia I don't remember anything - when I got home I slept for a few hours and had less cramping then when I get AF, next day I was perfectly fine. Good luck!

Re: Hysteroscopy

Yes, I had it done. I had a reaction to the anesthesia, but otherwise it was a quick procedure. The anxiety was worse than the actual surgery.

You'll do great!

Dr. Braverman has the tiniest scope so his are done in office and not under anesthesia. it was absolutely nothing. it felt like a period cramp, lasted a total of about a minute, and was over. it was so easy i would be pissed if i had to go under anesthesia for that! good luck!

Re: Hysteroscopy

Mine was inoperative, done in Dr Bs office. It was painless. I actually watched on the screen.

I just had one the month before last...it wasnt bad at all but I was under anestesia...

Did you ask about a Uterine myomectomy as opposed to a Hysteroscopy? How big were your fibroids?

I wouldn't worry :) you will be fine...

Re: Hysteroscopy

Anesthesia is usually required for uterine polyps - in office scopes are generally cervical

Re: Hysteroscopy

I had one hysteroscopy done to remove polyps, before my transfer. Then I had another one to remove some residual matter from my m/c.

The first was done at the hospital, and was in and out within 2 hours. The second was done at my RE's office.

Good luck.

Re: Hysteroscopy

I had it done 2x . Once to remove polyps and the other time to remove a fibroid. Both times were no big deal. The polyps were done first and I was up shopping the next day.

I had to not Chat Icon until my follow up with my Dr and that was only 2 weeks later. I think I was only out of the game for 1 month.

The first time I was more scared cause I had never been in the hospital for anything and had never had anesthesia.

Re: Hysteroscopy

I've had a few done prior and it wasn't a big deal at all. Went to the hospital in the AM, and by the afternnon I was released and slept like a baby. The next day i was fine!
