Hysteroscopy
Anyone have one done?
I am having one done on Friday (with Dr. B) and was just wondering what your experiences were. I was looking online and got all panicked that it was more involved than I thought (needing general anesthesia, etc.) but then called Dr. B's office and was told NOT to read online!
So, any personal experiences you could share, I'd appreciate. Thanks!

Re: Hysteroscopy
I had one about 6 months ago. It was really nothing other than some bad cramps. You stay awake for it and get to see the inside of your uterus on a TV screen. (pretty cool!! )
It takes a few minutes, you'll be fine!! Just expect it to feel like BAD period cramps. I was able to go about my day after.

Re: Hysteroscopy
Just had one today and it was better then I expected. The whole procedure lasted about 2 minutes with only about 1 minute of cramping. It felt like a period cramp but not one where you are stuck on the couch until it goes away. The dr and the nurse are constantly asking if you're ok. Remembering if breathe helped FM if you have any questions.

It wasn['t that bad, a bit crampy at times. I didn't like the "dye" coming out all day though...yuk

I think you're thinking of the HSG.
The hysteroscopy doesn't use dye, at least mine didn't!
I had mine done in Dr. B's office and it was a total surprise to me. I thought I was going in for a saline sono. It was really a nothing "procedure" and is not invasive at all. It's like doing an IUI basically or ET (since I know you've done IVF). You get to see everything on a screen and you'll know right away if everything's good! I drove myself and had no discomfort afterward.
