Hysteroscopy?
I know a couple of us have had one, so any insight would be greatly appreciated.
1. Will I be able to come in to work the following day?
2. Are you put completely under? My RE said I will be very relaxed, but did not say if I will be put completely under.
3. Recovery time? Did you have to wait a whole cycle or continue right away?
TIA ladies!

1. I went to work the next day just fine.
2. I was totally out, but they said it was just twilight.
3. I was tired from the drugs, but totally fine otherwise. As you know that was the cycle I got pregnant (finally). I asked if we should wait it out, to heal or whatever, but I immediately went into an IVF cycle.
GOOD LUCK!!!

Thanks for getting back to me. Can I still move foward with IVF, I will be on CD 25, isn't that too late to move foward?

Re: Hysteroscopy?
Of course, ask your doctor, but I would say YES.

Re: Hysteroscopy?
The answer to these questions depends on your doctor. Dr. B does hysteroscopies in office different than other doctors that do them in the hospital. All of my answers are based on my experience with Dr. B specifically.
1. Will I be able to come in to work the following day? yes
2. Are you put completely under? My RE said I will be very relaxed, but did not say if I will be put completely under. dr. B doesnt sedate at all. he uses a very very small camera and you dont get any anestesia or anything but it doesnt feel like anything other than a period cramp.
3. Recovery time? Did you have to wait a whole cycle or continue right away? i did mine at the beginning of a cycle after AF and i started stims a few days later.

Thanks for getting back to me. My doctor does it in the hospital. I am just concerned because it is so late in my cycle, if we should just wait until AF and then start stims.

I had 2 done. One was when I had polyps and the other was for unknown mass.....
I had it done in the Hospital. I was out. I had it done on a Friday so I didnt have to go to work the next day and the 2nd one I had done on a thursday and took fri off to relax (that one wasnt done until the evening)
I wasnt able to until the Dr gave me the all clear 2 weeks later.

Re: Hysteroscopy?
There is a difference between a operative and explorative hysteoscopy, I assume since you have polyps he is going in to remove them and not just look around. Which is exactly what I had done. It really was quick and painless. I know any kind of "procedure" is scary but you will be just fine!
Praying this is it for you!!!

This is probable really awful to say, but thankfully we won't need to go crazy with , we are doing IVF. I know awful, but after 2.5 years of so much planned BD I am actually looking foward to a 'break'

I understand needing a break! The actual procedure wasn't bad since I was asleep for it and the recovery I was spotting the next few days and cramping for the following day. I have had no polyps since and its been over 2 years.

Re: Hysteroscopy?
they knocked me out all the way, but it's that weaker kind of anesthesia that doesn't make you all mushy headed and crazy for the rest of the day.
they told me to take off the next day in case of pain, which i did, but i didn't think i needed it.
i wasn't trying at the time, so i don't have an answer to the last question.
