Hysterogram vs. laproscopy
Just came back from my dr and he wants to do a hysterogram. He also brought up a laproscopy as well and is having me think about doing that. I've been having pelvic pain for over a year that nobody has been able to diagnose (had two sonos with gyn and been to GI doctor too) Has anyone had a hysterogram? I'm not really sure what route to take

Re: Hysterogram vs. laproscopy
I'm having my hysterogram on tuesday. I do have IBS and had a colonoscopy back in the early fall but found nothing. I've had IBS for years and this pain is more recent than that.

Re: Hysterogram vs. laproscopy
I've had both. As part of my work up for infertility the hysterogram looks at the contour inside your uterus while the laprascopy would be look on the outside of you uterus and tubes and it's surgery. I had a laprascopy because me RE suspected endometriosis and that is the only way to diagnosis it and can help treat it. I think both can be important in an evaluation of IF.
