Hystereoscopy ques
Hey girls - just curious did anyone have to take oral progestrone before this procedure? I had to start it CD5 and take it until my procedure (in 2 weeks). The doctor said he wanted to thin my lining out and he wants to take a look in my uterus during my lap bc I have unusually long periods.
But still no idea what exactly the progesterone is doing?

I didn't have to take anything. I had the lap, d&c and scopy all together though. Maybe the d&c thinned it.

I had a hysteroscopy and didn't need to take anything before it.
The hysteroscopy took place while I was on the pill though, if that makes a difference.

youre supposed to have a hysteroscopy only at the very beginning of your cycle. if your lining is thick they wont be able to see as much. i didnt have to take progesterone or anything but if you have long periods maybe your lining is thick most of your cycle and thats why they want you to thin it out with meds first.
