Hyper active cat?

I am asking advice for a friend who adopted a 1 year old cat. The cat is very friendly but is super hyper active. He is constantly running through her apartment and jumping on and off the furniture. She lives in apartment building and he does this in the middle of the night so she is concerned that someone will complain about noise. I have had cats growing up but they were not this active at all! Any advice for any natural supplements she can use to just calm him down or tire him out a little? Thanks!

That's pretty normal cat behavior for a cat that young. My suggestion would be to play with the cat to tire them out and hopefully they'll sleep through most of the night.

Re: Hyper active cat?

My cat runs thru my apartment, she would throw her toys down the stairs then run after them. Sounded like a bulldog running. Had to put up a baby gate.
We needed to tire her out before bedtime, and make sure she has enough toys to play with, and a tower to climb on so she is not all over the furniture.

One is still very young. My suggestion is to tire him out at night, and to provide him with enough stimulation during the day so he doesn't sleep all day.

My Bella is almost 14 and will still sometimes tear thru the place.

Lol, my girl does this occasionally too. I call her getting a wild hair up her ass. Lol

It was worse when her brother was still alive because he used to chase her.

Hyper active cat?

Our Primo is 9 years old and still acts like a loon! He has 2 settings - sleeping or hyperactive mischief maker.
